Niels Troost
Founding Partner
Niels Troost has been active in the oil industry for more than 25 years and co-founded Tenergy in 2009. He began his career at VTT Vulcan Petroleum where he worked from 1992 until 1994 and then became a senior crude trader at Taurus Petroleum where he worked until 2007. Prior to founding Tenergy he was Head of Crude Oil Trading at Vintage Energy.
A real entrepreneur at heart, Niels Troost has various other business interests in the global energy industry as well as several local businesses in the Geneva area. He is focused on further developing Tenergy’s global business and diversification into other commodity markets.
Born in Zaandam in 1969 and a Dutch citizen, he received an International Business degree from HES Amsterdam and Plymouth University. In his free time, he is a keen cyclist.
Michel Tuor
Founding Partner
Michel Tuor started his career in the oil industry more than 30 years ago and is a co-founder of Tenergy. He commenced his career at Cargill Petroleum where he worked from 1986 until 1998 as a Distillate and Fuel oil Trading Manager. He then headed the Fuel Oil trading desk at VTT Vulcan Petroleum from 1998 until 2005. Prior to founding Tenergy he was the Head of Products Trading at Vintage Energy.
Born in Vevey in 1965 and a Swiss citizen he received his degree in Economics from Geneva University in 1986.
